Early Tuesday morning, a U-Haul truck crashed into a power pole in Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on New Leicester Highway, near the entrance of Meadows Apartments and Evelake Drive, at about 4:45 a.m. Very few details about the crash have been released, but we do know that the driver reportedly left the scene after the wreck.
Initial reports indicate that there may have been marijuana in the vehicle. There has been no word on whether or not anybody was injured. This crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
