On Monday morning, there was a motorcycle crash on Tunnel Road in Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened sometime before 8:05 a.m. First responders with the Asheville Fire Department rushed to the scene to put out a vehicle fire. A portion of the roadway had to be closed for about an hour as crews worked the scene. Although very few details have been released, we do know that the motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. There is no word on that person’s current condition or on the cause of the crash.
