On Monday, there were multiple crashes in the Western North Carolina area. With heavy rain in Jackson County, Sylva and other areas, motorists were urged to exercise caution on local roadways. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, a box truck overturned on Highway 23, near the Sylva exit. Very few details have been released about this truck crash, but we do know that both eastbound lanes had to be closed as crews worked to clear the scene. There has been no word on the cause of this crash, which is still under investigation with law enforcement officials. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
