A Transylvania County deputy may be facing charges following a crash that happened in Biltmore Village last week. According to WLOB ABC News Channel 13, the wreck happened on Thursday night at the intersection of Hendersonville Road and Lodge Street. The Transylvania County deputy, Sgt. Trevor Queen, was reportedly on his way to Mission Hospital to collect evidence about a dog attack at the time of the crash. Sgt. Queen reportedly put his blue lights and sirens on to get to the hospital. Although there was a red light at the intersection of Biltmore Avenue and Lodge Street, Queen proceeded through. His vehicle collided with an automobile that had a green light through the intersection. Both drivers were injured in the crash.

Injury Crash Involving

At this time, the incident is still under investigation with the Asheville Police Department. Initial reports indicate that Sgt. Queen was at fault. There has been no word on the charges he is facing yet. Additionally, the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office is also conducting an internal investigation to determine what, if any policies were violated during the crash. There has been no word on the full extent of injuries involved, and at least one of the people injured in the dog attack has been released from the hospital.
