Earlier this week, there was a semi truck crash on I-40 in Haywood County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened in a westbound lane near Fines Creek Road in Clyde. Very few details about this big rig crash have been released, but we do know that a portion of the roadway had to be closed, and traffic was backed up until after 8:00 p.m.
There has been no word on whether or not anybody was injured in the crash or if other passenger occupant vehicles were involved. The semi truck was reportedly leaking fuel from its gas tank after the crash. No information has been released on the cause of this truck crash, which is likely still under investigation with law enforcement authorities.
