Last week, there was a semi-truck crash on Interstate 26 in Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened between Brevard Road and Long Shoals Road. Very little information has been released about this crash, but initial reports indicate that the tractor-trailer left the roadway and hit the guardrail on the shoulder. The truck driver has been charged with failure to maintain lane control. Thankfully, no other vehicles appeared to be involved in the truck crash.
Semi Truck Load Spilled onto Roadway
A portion of the roadway had to be closed and traffic had to be diverted as crews and first responders worked the scene. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported with this truck wreck. The semi was hauling woodchips at the time of the crash, and the truck did overturn causing the load to spill.
