The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is currently publicizing their Halloween drunk driving prevention campaign. With the holiday falling on a Friday night, they want motorists and partygoers to know that buzzed driving is drunk driving. If you plan on celebrating with alcohol, designate a driver or make an alternate plan to get home safely. It can be as simple as adding the number for a cab company into your phone ahead of time.

In 2012, nearly half of all motor vehicle fatalities on Halloween night involved a drunk driver. Under the right circumstances, one drink can put you over the limit. Don’t plan on just having ‘a few drinks’ and getting behind the wheel. If a drunk driver has injured you or a loved one, contact a skilled personal injury lawyer as soon as possible. The team at Davis Law Group, P.A. wishes everybody a safe and Happy Halloween!
