Last week, three people were injured in a crash on U.S. 64 in Transylvania County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened near the Henderson County line. There were two vehicles involved, and one of them was a Penske truck. There were two teens from West Henderson High School in one of the vehicles. They were injured, and so was the driver of the Penske truck. First responders from Transylvania and Henderson Counties rushed to the scene, where the roadway had to be closed for a couple of hours.
Penske Truck Crash Near Henderson County
Very few details have been released about this two-vehicle crash, but we do know that it happened at about 7:00 a.m. on Friday morning. The teens were in a Chevrolet SUV that reportedly pulled onto Highway 64 when their vehicle was struck by the Penske truck. One of the teens was trapped in the wreckage, and he had to be extricated by crews. He was airlifted to Mission Hospital for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on anybody’s current condition, and the cause of this crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
