Last week, a driver in a stolen truck hit a van on Interstate 240 in Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened last Tuesday, sometime after 7:00 p.m. Very little information has been released about this crash, but initial reports indicate that a driver stole a truck from the Citgo parking lot on Amboy Road. The truck hit a van, which had a flat tire and was parked beside the roadway.
The impact of the collision left the van on its roof. The driver in the stolen truck continued for another 50 yards before getting out and fleeing on foot. No information has been released on that person’s whereabouts, and the incident is likely still under investigation.
