Last week, there was a single-vehicle injury crash in the Beaver Lake area of Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the wreck happened on the 1300 block of Merrimon Avenue. Although very little information has been released, initial reports indicate that a southbound pickup truck crossed the yellow line and struck a tree. There has been no word on the cause of the crash.
At least two people were injured in the wreck, and a portion of the roadway had to be closed as crews worked the scene. This single-vehicle crash is likely still under investigation with the Asheville Police Department.
