Earlier this week, a crash involving a tractor-trailer sent one woman to the hospital in McDowell County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Highway 226, near 221, sometime after 7:00 p.m. For currently unknown reasons, a woman’s car crossed the centerline of the roadway and struck the front corner area of a semi truck.
The driver of the car was transported to Mission Hospital in Asheville for treatment of serious injuries. At this time, we do not know her condition or the extent of injuries involved. Although very few details about this crash have been released, we do know that charges are pending.
