Crashes Involving Commercial Trucking Vehicles

The majority of fatalities in crashes involving semi-trucks are to occupants in smaller passenger vehicles. Commercial trucking vehicles are just so much larger and heavier than cars and light trucks and SUVs. Even at relatively lower speeds, crashes involving tractor-trailers can be devastating, catastrophic or worse for occupants in other vehicles. Since semi-trucks are so much larger and heavier than other vehicles on the road, trucking companies and truck drivers have additional rules and regulations to follow.
