Tractor Trailer Crashes in Asheville
Semi truck crashes in Asheville and the surrounding areas can be incredibly devastating for other drivers and passenger vehicle occupants involved. Big rigs are so much larger and heavier than traditional vehicles. They can be extremely destructive in the event of a crash. Even seemingly minor crashes at relatively low speeds can be catastrophic for other drivers on the road.
Complexities of a Semi Truck Crash Case
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is the department tasked with regulating the commercial trucking industry. Because semi trucks are so large and heavy, they have to follow additional rules and regulations to keep the roadways safe. If drivers and commercial trucking companies aren’t following the required federal safety regulations, everybody on the road is put at risk.
