Tanker Truck Crash in McDowell County

Last week, we reported on the tanker truck crash that happened in McDowell County. A tanker hauling heating oil overturned beside the roadway and spilled fuel onto the roadway. Although there has been no word on the official cause of the crash, the driver reportedly said that his brakes malfunctioned prior to the wreck. Investigations involving large trucks are often lengthy due to the additional regulations associated with the commercial trucking industry. If malfunctioning brakes or any other type of mechanical issue causes a crash involving a big rig, it’s essential to determine whether or not the vehicle was in full compliance with all safety maintenance regulations.
