Last week, there was a semi truck crash in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened in the 100 block of Cedar Creek Road near Old Fort Road. Initial reports indicate that a truck driver was following Google Maps and took a turn that was too sharp for the large truck to navigate. The semi truck sunk into the hole beside the turn and caused the roadway to be blocked for several hours.
In spite of signage warning truckers of the narrow road, incidents like this are continuing to happen. Each time a truck gets stuck, it can take hours for them to get towed out, and the road has to be closed during that time.
