On Sunday afternoon, law enforcement officers conducted rolling roadblocks on I-40 to clear the area of ice and snow. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, there was a multi-car crash along Waterville Road in Haywood County. Drivers were asked to avoid the area, and delays were reported.
The rolling roadblocks occurred between mile marker 20 and the North Carolina and Tennessee state line. Drivers who took alternate routes were met with snow, ice and untreated roads in some areas. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in that Haywood County crash. There were multiple reports of stranded vehicles in the area.
