On Wednesday morning, a suspect was arrested after driving recklessly through a DOT work zone. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened along I-40. Very few details about this incident have been released, but we do know that the driver nearly hit a deputy’s car, DOT vehicles and DOT workers. That person was pursued for about 5 miles, and then fled on foot after driving over stop sticks.
Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported on the scene. The driver was charged with feeling to elude arrest, driving with a revoked license, speeding 86 mph in a 20-mph zone, reckless driving and a variety of other charges.
