Last week, a person was struck and seriously injured by a train in McDowell County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Friday night along the Norfolk Southern Railroad line, near Carolina Avenue in Marion. Very little information about this incident has been released, but we do know that it happened at about 10:30 p.m.
First responders with the police department and the McDowell County emergency services rushed to the scene. This incident is likely still under investigation with local authorities.
