On Tuesday afternoon, there was a truck crash on Interstate 40 in Haywood County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened near the exit for Newfound Road. Very few details about this crash have been released, but we do know that a pickup truck towing a camper overturned on the roadway.
Initial reports indicate that the driver may have lost control after his truck hydroplaned. Investigators on the scene speculated that the vehicle may have jackknifed, hit the median guardrail and overturned. At least three of the tires were reportedly very worn. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported, and the driver was cited for exceeding a safe speed and having unsafe tires.
