Last week, a semi truck overturned on I-26 in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened in the westbound lanes, near the airport exit. Very little information has been released about this truck crash, but we do know that it happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. Initial reports indicate that the big rig went off of the road and then flipped over the median.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on that person’s current condition or on the extent of injuries involved. A portion of the roadway had to be closed as crews and first responders worked the scene. The cause of this truck crash could still be under investigation with officials.
