Earlier this week, a one-car crash in Buncombe County ended in a road closure. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Swannanoa River Road. For currently unknown reasons, a car left the roadway and struck a power pole. Power lines came down, and electricity to the surrounding area was completely cut off.
Thankfully, no major injuries were reported, but the roadway had to be shut down between Fairview Road to Kensington Drive until Duke Energy crews could repair the damage. Law enforcement officials were advising drivers to avoid the area while crews worked the scene.
