The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is gearing up for Child Passenger Safety Week. From September 23-29, 2018, safety agencies across the nation will be raising awareness about the importance of child passenger safety. During this week, the NHTSA and the Ad Council will be launching public service announcements about the importance of protecting children at every stage of life.

Traffic crashes are still the number-one cause of death for children between the ages of one and 13. Safety advocates are quick to point out that many deaths and injuries can be prevented with the proper use of car seats, booster seats and seat belts. This year, Child Passenger Safety Week will conclude on Seat Check Saturday, where parents and caregivers are encouraged to get their children’s car seats and booster seats checked by certified professionals.

If your child has been injured in a crash in or around the Asheville area, contact the team at Davis Law Group, P.A. at 828-303-2842 for a free consultation.
