On Thursday morning, there were multiple wrecks on the same stretch of I-40 in Candler. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, two crashes happened back-to-back just around 10:00 a.m., near mile marker 38. Witness reports indicate that the driver in the initial wreck may have hydroplaned before her car flipped and rolled over multiple times.

Although injured, she was able to walk away from the scene. Very few details have been released about the second crash, but first responders said speed could have been a factor in either crash. If people are driving too fast for conditions, they’re putting their lives and the lives of other roadway users at risk.

Fire and rescue officials are calling on drivers to slow down on wet roads and when they see crews working scenes. If you have been injured in a car accident, contact Davis Law Group, P.A. at 888-773-8388 today.
