There were multiple crashes in and around Asheville on Thursday morning. Traffic was backed up in a variety of locations. Additionally, the morning commute was further delayed by the poor weather conditions. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, power lines were down on Sugarloaf Rd near Highway 280. Also, a three-vehicle wreck happened on Hendersonville road at Caribou road.

First responders with the Asheville Police Department were working multiple scenes this morning. There was even a crash involving an 18-wheeler in Haywood County. The wreck happened near 18-MM westbound, in the Gorge. Dispatchers were letting motorists know that they could take I-26 to I-81 as a detour if travelling west. No injuries were immediately reported in the crash involving the semi truck, but very few details have been released on the crash.
