Early Tuesday morning, there was a multi-vehicle crash in on Interstate 40 in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened between Wiggins Road (Exit 37) and the I-26 junction. Very little information has been released about this crash, but we do know that at least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. First responders and crews had the road reopened at about 7:00 a.m.
There has been no word on the cause of the crash, which could still be under investigation with law enforcement officials.
