Over the weekend, an ambulance in Asheville struck a moped rider. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Saturday afternoon on Hendersonville Road, between Sycamore Drive and Glenn Bridge Road. Very few details about the crash have been released, but we do know that the moped rider was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

There has been no word on that person’s current condition, but thankfully, the injuries were described as non-life threatening. The cause of this crash, involving a Transylvania County EMS ambulance, is still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
