Earlier this week, a crash involving a moped in East Flat Rock sent two people to the hospital. The collision happened on Spartanburg Highway (Highway 176), near the General Electric plant. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, a Lincoln struck a moped sometime before 9:00 a.m. The Moped went flying into pared cars and caught fire. The Lincoln rolled down the street and struck a power pole.

The 24-year old moped rider, Christopher Jackson, was air lifted to Mission Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. There’s no word on the extent of his injuries or his current condition. WLOS ABC News did report that the Lincoln was going about 80 miles per hour when it struck the moped. This wreck is still under investigation with law enforcement authorities.
