On Tuesday morning, a person was injured in an apparent one-vehicle crash on I-240 in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened in the eastbound lane of the highway, near the 74A exit, at about 11:00 a.m. Very little information has been released about this one-car crash, but initial reports indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle and it hit a guardrail. The vehicle overturned near mile marker eight.
Driver Injured in Buncombe County Crash
The driver of that vehicle was rushed to Mission Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. There has been no word on that person’s current condition. Additionally, no information has been released on the cause of this crash, which could still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials. A portion of the roadway had to be closed until about noon as crews and first responders worked the scene.
