Last week, there was an injury crash involving an ejected driver in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on New Leicester Highway at the Newfound Road intersection. Very little information has been released about this two-vehicle crash, but we do know that one person was ejected from a vehicle. Initial reports indicate that a Ford Focus collided with an Acura when turning left on Newfound Road from New Leicester Highway. The Acura reportedly overturned during the wreck. The driver and sole occupant in the Acura was ejected from the vehicle.
Driver Ejected From Vehicle in Buncombe Crash
First responders and crews rushed to the scene, where drivers from both vehicles had to be transported to Mission Hospital for treatment of injuries. No information has been released on their current conditions or the full extent of their injuries. Additionally, there has been no word on the cause of the crash, which is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials. First responders on the scene were quick to point out the importance of wearing seat belts.
