Over the weekend, there were a few wrecks on I-26 in Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, there was at least one injury crash on I-26 in Buncombe County. With additional holiday traffic, the roadways in and around Asheville were very busy. Traffic was at a standstill in westbound lanes of I-26 near the Airport Road exit on Sunday.
An additional wreck was reported near Brevard Road. No information was released on whether or not any injuries were involved in that crash. Motorists in the area were told to expect delays for most of the day.
