Over the weekend, there was a fatal crash involving a Kia Sportage and a tractor-trailer in Marion. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the wreck happened at the intersection of 221 and 226 South at about 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Very few details about this fatal crash have been released, but we do know that a northbound semi-truck on N.C. 226 entered the intersection of 226 and 221 as another vehicle was entering from the opposite direction. Initial reports indicate that the vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection, and the wreckage came to rest just north of the intersection, on the 221 North Bypass.
