On Thursday night, a pedestrian was struck and killed in Mills River. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on N.C. 280, near the intersection of Turnpike Road, just before 8:00 p.m. Very few details have been released about this crash, but we do know that the pedestrian was near the center turn lane when he was struck.

The driver involved reportedly tried to hit her brakes, but was unable to avoid the pedestrian. Initially, she was unaware that she hit a person, but she did pull over to fully cooperate with authorities after the wreck.
