On Monday morning, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash near Hickory. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened at around 7:00 a.m. on U.S. 321, south of Interstate 40. At this time, very little information has been released about this wreck which took the life of one person.

Investigators with the North Carolina Highway Patrol are still investigating the crash and trying to locate the driver. They are reportedly looking for a car with front-end damage and a broken windshield. At this time, there’s no word on color, make or model of the car.
