Earlier this week, a high-speed chase in Hendersonville left one man dead and two other people in the hospital. The chase happened on Interstate 26, when troopers attempted to pull over a speeding vehicle. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, 48-year-old Allen Goodman of Florida took the troopers on a high-speed chase through Hendersonville.
The chase finally came to a halt when Goodman’s car struck a pickup truck on Sugarloaf road. Witness reports indicate that there were screeching tires and a loud boom. Goodman was pronounced dead on the scene. The passenger in the pickup truck was air lifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital, and the driver was taken to Pardee Hospital.
