Last week, there was a fatal crash in Fairview. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Friday afternoon in the Minehole Gap area. Very little information about this incident has been released, but we do know that it was a head-on collision involving two vehicles. Initial reports indicate that the collision happened on US 74A. For currently unknown reasons, a Toyota RAV4 crossed the centerline of the roadway and hit a Mini Cooper head-on. Both drivers were killed in the crash. At this time, there has been no word why the RAV4 crossed the centerline. This incident is likely still under investigation with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
