On Tuesday, there was a drunk driving crash in Arden. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Hendersonville Road at about 3:00 a.m. Very little information about the crash has been released, but we do know that the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and hit a power pole. Initial reports indicate that there were downed power lines in the area.
First responders and crews rushed to the scene, where all four lanes of the roadway had to be closed between Heywood Road and Glenn Bridge Road. Duke energy was called out to work on the power lines. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported on the scene. The driver involved was charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
