Over the weekend, a suspected drunk driver crashed into a road crew in Concord. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened early Saturday morning. Very few details about this fatal wreck have been released, but we do know that one worker was killed and three others were injured. The road crew was reportedly working on a construction site outside of a mall in Concord at the time of the crash.
The driver, 22-year-old Danyel McKenzie Middleton, was charged with felony death by vehicle and could face additional charges. Initial reports indicate that her blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. At this time, there has been no word on the conditions of any of the injured workers.
