According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, 14-year-old Jacob Wright and his friend were riding an ATV when they were struck by an SUV. Wright was killed in the wreck, and his friend was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries. The driver, Steve Carroll, was charged with DWI and driving with a revoked license. His three-year-old granddaughter was in the vehicle at the time of the crash too.

Neither teen was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. They were riding on the road.
