Last week, a driver hit a pedestrian in a Wal-Mart Parking lot in Franklin. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Thursday afternoon at about 4:30 p.m. The victim, a 68-year-old woman, was struck by a pickup truck that was travelling through the parking lot at about 10 miles per hour. The driver said the sun was in his eyes at the time of the collision.
The victim was airlifted to North Georgia Medical Center for treatment injuries that included trauma to her head. At this time, there has been no word on her current condition or whether or not any charges have been made. This wreck could still be under investigation with law enforcement officials.
