Officials with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) are urging motorists to Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over this holiday season. Sadly, we typically see a spike in injury causing and fatal drunk driving accidents this time of year. During the 2013 holiday period (December 18-31), there were 1,180 people killed in crashes. Nearly a third of those deaths occurred in crashes involving alcohol-impaired drivers. In the month of December 2013 alone, 733 people were killed in drunk driving crashes.
