Earlier this week, there was a crash involving two semi-trucks and two passenger vehicles in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened at about 3:00 a.m., on I-40, in Candler. Very little information has been released about this truck crash, but initial reports indicate that one of the semi-trucks may have hit black ice. The tractor-trailer jackknifed and caused a chain reaction crash with the semi-truck behind it and another two vehicles.
Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported on the scene. One of the big rigs did lose some cargo on the roadway. A portion of I-40 had to be closed as crews and first responders worked the scene.
