The Commercial Trucking Industry

Accidents involving semi trucks, big rigs and tractor trailers can be devastating for motorists in smaller passenger occupant vehicles. Since commercial trucks are so much larger and heavier than other vehicles on the road, they have additional rules and regulations to follow. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulates the commercial trucking industry. Truck accidents often require additional investigative efforts due to the federal regulations involved. If truck drivers or commercial truck owners aren’t following all safety regulations and procedures properly, they can put everybody on the road at risk.
