Big Rig Safety in Asheville

Truck drivers need to have spatial awareness of their surroundings before merging or changing lanes. Even though these large commercial trucking vehicles do have blind spots, it’s still critical for truck drivers to be aware of their surroundings and whether or not other passenger occupant vehicles are nearby. In accident cases involving big rigs, thorough and comprehensive investigations are essential to determine if the truck driver or trucking company was in compliance with all state and federal safety regulations at the time of the crash. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is the agency tasked with regulating the commercial trucking industry.
