Over the weekend, NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Jack Ingram was seriously injured in a crash in Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the wreck happened on Amboy Road, at the intersection of Short Michigan Avenue at Carrier Park. Very few details have been released about the crash, but we do know that it happened just a few hundred feet away from the former Asheville speedway. There has been no word on the cause of the crash, although initial reports indicate that Ingram’s vehicle was hit on Amboy Road. First responders rushed to the scene and Ingram was taken to Mission Hospital for treatment of injuries.

In 2014, Jack Ingram was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. He was a legendary driver at the Asheville Speedway for many years. At the time of the news report, he was in the intensive care unit.
