On Tuesday, a truck hauling two different types of acid crashed on I-40 in McDowell County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened late on Tuesday night, near Mile Marker 66. Very little information has been released about this truck crash, but we do know that the truck jackknifed in the roadway.
First responders and crews rushed to the scene. The North Carolina Hazard Team and North Carolina Emergency Management were also called out. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported on the scene. The cause of this crash is likely still under investigation, but icy conditions were reported in the area.
