Last week, a car ran off of the road in downtown Asheville and struck two pedestrians before crashing into a building. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the car crashed into the Spiritex store downtown. Very few details about this collision have been released, but initial reports indicate that the driver may have suffered from a medical condition. The vehicle hit two pedestrians, and one of them had to be transported to the hospital for treatment.
The other pedestrian and the driver were treated on the scene and released. The driver was charged with a red light violation and careless and reckless driving.
