On Sunday afternoon, a car crashed into a gas station in downtown Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened at the Shell Station just before 3:00 p.m., on Merrimon Avenue, near I-240. Although very few details have been released, we do know that a fire had to be extinguished on the scene. Thankfully, no injuries were initially reported.
Second Gas Station Crash in a Week
The car apparently crashed into a column at the Shell Station. Although no charges have been filed in this case, there is still no word on what caused this crash. Surprisingly, WLOS ABC News Channel 13 also reports that this is the second time an automobile has crashed into this particular gas station in the past seven days. This wreck could still be under investigation with law enforcement authorities.
Recovering From an Asheville Car Accident
Depending upon the severity of your car accident, you could be facing a few days to a few weeks or longer away from work. In addition to either extensive property damage or a total loss of your transportation, you could also be facing hefty medical bills. Even if you’re well insured, you might find dealing with your insurance company less than pleasant. Everybody wants to think they’re in “good hands,” but many of the nation’s so-called top insurance companies have bad reputations for denying and delaying legitimate claims.
