Community members in Enka-Candler are worried about safety at a local railroad crossing. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the crossing arms located on Candler School Road are broken. This is especially concerning, because the tracks are located just down the road from Candler Elementary School. One local resident says the crossing arms have been broken for going on a few weeks.

Crews have reportedly been working on them, but they’re still not fixed. People in the area are being encouraged to exercise additional caution at this crossing. There has been no word on when the crossing arms will be repaired.
