On Thursday afternoon, a crash involving an 18-wheeler happened on I-26 West in South Asheville. Lanes were backed up for hours as crews worked the scene. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the wreck, which also involved a Dodge pickup truck, happened at about 2:00 p.m. near mile marker 34, between the Long Shoals Road exit and Brevard Road exit.
Very little information has been released about this crash, but as of about 4:00 p.m., all lanes were back open for traffic. There’s still no word on the cause of the crash, or who was at fault.
