Winter Driving Safety

The AAA has important winter driving tips for anybody who might have to drive in snow or make a long-distance winter trip. Most importantly, they’re reminding drivers to be cautious behind the wheel. If possible, avoid driving or going out during inclement weather. If you have to go out, remember to accelerate and decelerate slowly for optimum traction on snowy or icy roadways and increased skid avoidance. Taken plenty of time to stop at lights or stop signs, and make sure to allow extra room between your car and the car in front of you. Even if you have great winter driving skills and plenty of experience driving in the snow, you can bet that plenty of people on the roadway won’t be quite as safe. When you can, stay home. If you have to go out, drive safely and get your destination in one piece.
